Trey Burton Bio

A 6’2 222lb freshman out of Venice High School (Venice, FL.). Burton enrolled at UF in January 2010, came in rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals and also the No. 18 dual-threat quarterback in the country. He led Venice to a 9-2 record his senior year, passed for 1,876 yards along with 18 touchdowns. Burton rushed for 821 yards with 22 touchdowns. As a junior, Trey completed 80 of 133 pass attempts for 1,399 yards and 12 touchdowns, along with 919 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns. He was named to the 2008 FSWA 5A All-State First-Team and named the Team MVP and All-Area first-team and earned it again in 2009. During his sophomore season at Venice, Burton passed for 1,318 yards with 13 touchdowns and rushed for 708 yards and nine touchdowns. Trey chose the Gators over USF, West Virginia, Miami and FSU. Other then football, Trey played basketball for Venice High.
