Burton, Gators’ bitten by Tigers
The Florida Gators suffered their second consecutive loss, both to top five teams. Without senior starting quarterback John Brantley, Trey Burton was calling the plays along with true freshman Jacoby Brissett. Not much passing went on during the game. But what do you expect from a freshman who has never taken a snap in his collegiate career so far? Or Burton who actually hasn’t played quarterback since his high school days besides a little his freshman year at UF.
The LSU Tigers defense was outstanding throughout the whole game. LSU held Burton to 7 rushing yards, six yards through the air on one completion and three receptions for 14 yards. You haven’t seen much of Burton this year at all. But you got to look at the new spots that are filled, new offense and coaches.
Burton and the unranked Gators are set to take on the Auburn Tigers this Saturday at 7pm.
